Lol I don't think I've heard a girl use up the rear like that before, I always thought it was a guy thing. What I would recommend since I was rear-ended a few years ago by a drunk driver, is to of course if you haven't taken tons of pictures and keep a journal of any pain / suffering. As far as being banged up volvo, hey just shows the craftmanship on the car, volvo beats all :-) But as far as bumper change and stuff it shouldn't be that bad, I'm not sure if your year has the nicer trim, but I would go ahead and redye it while its off give it a nicer look.

As far as the sueing goes, the drunk idiot who hit me was his 3rd DUI, and I got pretty bad whiplash so it really depends on the situation, he was completely liable, and I don't know why any insurance company would insure him. But hey honestly getting better is the important thing and keep the logs and stuff and you should be fine.
