| NOTE |
| On Saturday my Son and I went to parts galore in flat rock, poked around and found 3 small pieces we thought we could handle, a replacement knob for the headlights, a very brittle but usable turn signal cover and a newish/newer hood latch? the bottom part (see pic) put the new knob on, eezy peezy, put the new cover on, no problem, put the hood latch on and thats what we spent THE WHOLE REST OF THE DAY trying to fix.
when we relesed the hood from the inside that was fine, but when Jake tried pushing the release handle under the hood it wouldn't totally release. We ended up, after many hours, pulling the grill and bending the frame to try and get to the bolts to loosen them, as I was bending the frame the hood latch popped and we looked at each other in amazement!!!! then did a dance of joy, put her all back together, and by then it was dinner time so thats where the adventure ended. Maybe we can actually get to some of the "first step" advice that has been so generously given to us today, luckily we don't need Helga to be completely ready for Jake for roughly 3 years, were gonna need every last second. |
