NOTE
A much beloved car is looking for a new home with someone who will appreciate it! After much agonizing, we have decided to replace our 1981 240 GLT wagon with a new Volvo wagon. The GLT is in good condition, inside and out, and has been mechanically and cosmetically well-maintained by its original owners throughout its life. The car has two minor rust spots (not sure why as it has lived its entire life in Southern California); one at one of the roof rack connection points, and the other between the rear passenger door and rear window. The dashboard has a crack, and the glove compartment door needs a new knob. The odometer is a bit temperamental so we are not certain what the exact mileage is. Finally, the wagon has a salvage title based on relatively minor body damage that occurred from a very slow speed rear ender (less than 2 miles per hour). The damage involved replacing the front grill and resetting the hood, which cost more than the Blue Book value of the car, and therefore resulted in the salvage title. We had the car repaired and have been driving it nearly 10 years since the incident. Maintenance records, including the body work referenced above, spanning the last 25 years are available. Wagon has working power windows, working air conditioning, alloy wheels, roof rack. It runs great and is fun to drive, as only an old Volvo wagon can be. Hate to part with it.
