NOTE |
At 230,000 miles, I returned from a long business trip at midnight to a dead Volvo - it would start, but not stay running. I figured that this was "the big one", where the car had outlived the money needed to keep it running. I trudged back to the terminal, rented a Hyundai, and returned to the Volvo and completely cleaned her out for what might be her last trip to a mechanic. With a heavy heart, I took this photo with my cell phone.
Happy ending - the fuel relay was a minor fix, and she continues to drip a little oil on my driveway and is my faithful companion for another month or year or whatever... |
