Volvo 850 factory OEM dog gate - $85 (East Montpelier, Vermont-state)

This dog gate uses the spring loaded hydraulic dampers. The hydraulics may be somewhat worn or may have lost some or all gas charge. The image suggests some of the mounting hardware may be missing.

Wire mesh upright car boot dog guard suitable for Volvo 850 dog pet barrier

Some sort of aftermarket solution for an 850 series wagon cargo area - dog gate barrier.

I'm not finding OEM dog gates for 1993-1997 850. I'm unsure whether the first year or two V-70 would fit. Searches suing Bing and Google do not turn anything at all.

Though apparently the V70 dog / cargo gate from 1997 to 1999 (or 2000) won't fit your 855. Yet the hardware mounting kit, also NLA from Volvo, they mention, with part number, is meant for the later V70 dog / cargo gate / barrier.

You may also want to ask this on the AWD forum.

There appears to be two forms of this gate:
- One with springs in the outer hinge assemblies to assist lift the gate up.
- One with hydraulic shock springs that seem to fail. Replacements available.

Though I'm unsure. Part Number would help. As the cross section profile of the cargo area 'evolved' between the 850 wagon and the the V70 (after 1998, I guess, or 1999?), I'm unsure if a cargo / dog gate / barrier from a V70 would fit.

It appears the dog gate for Volvo 850 is no longer available (NLA) from Volvo and the after market outlets. iPd and FCP Euro used to sell the OEM cargo gates for Volvo wagons.

I've found images of old threads on other Volvo FED forums. Ebay has a few for sale, yet doubtful they'd fit.
