Driveshaft out of balance. Not uncommon at all. I balanced mine using a hose clamp, a set of good ramps and chocks, and a scribe to note the "heavy" side of the driveshaft as you rotate the shaft by your chosen method. Clamp goes opposite that side.
My symptoms were a shudder at acceleration, up through about 20 mph or so; I even checked cylinder compression thinking the trouble might lie there. A replacement driveshaft to cure a noisy center bearing also cured the vibration problem as well. When I was forced to go back to the old driveshaft (with a new bearing), the problem reappeared until I did the hose clamp thing.
I doubt tires are the issue at such low speeds.
