240 door lock knob thread size 200 1992

Hi,

I went out to a 1991 I have to check out the thread diameter. It measures 3.5 mm.

The bad news is that the thread is not a v sharp machine thread.
The thread is made with a tapered lead to engage the plastic bore of the knob.
In essence it threads itself to fit.

I have a small plastic drawer of black ones that I got from RPR back many years ago.
I doubt I’ll ever use them all.
I noticed in your profile that you are from Tennessee. I was raised in Clarksville but have not lived in Tennessee for more than fifty years. Not the sparsely populated state I once knew.
However, I just visited Nashville and Memphis for ten days last week for two reunions and other relatives.

So I passed your town along the way. Bummer!
A shame you posted after all that but of course, I would have needed lots of more lead time. 😊

I can try to send you four or less depending on what you need for free.
My email is in my profile that goes through the Brickboard if you want to share your address.

The profile doesn’t work nicely but thanks to Dave Stevens in Canada, there is a work around!
The trick to getting to a person’s profile is to remove the letters RWD between the slanted lines and insert /TOOLS/ capitalized. You do this after clicking the address bar.

Us birds of a feather, Volvos, need to flock together!

Phil
