Strapping down a 240 onto a flatbed for hauling question 200

When my friend rented a u-haul trailer, it came with 4 web tire baskets used to hold the wheels down to the trailer.

Aren't cars meant to bounce when they go over bumps?

The tie-down points mentioned in the other members post are below the springs, hence that car will bounce.

If you do a search, Motor Trend advises tire baskets or straps attached below the springs, letting the car bounce.

Advice on this matter varies, but I like Motor Trend's write-up.
