Assuming drum brakes all around.
If your adjusters are set too tight, which gives the highest pedal, the way most people would like it, expansion of the fluid when hot can press the shoe.
I'm working on the same thing myself.
Seeing which way the adjuster turns to loosen means jacking the car up to peek through the adjuster hole.
