had a similar problem on a new one i got (made by Ronak-low quality $45-eeuroparts.com)

i found the contacts to be slightly loose so when the notch on the plastic gear came around to stop the motor the contacts slid back together - ugh - back around again

you can take the cover off and hold the plastic gear in by hand to see if this is the problem

i tightened it up so the gear to contact area wasn't as sloppy - i cant recall exactly what i did to tighten it but i think i put extra washers on the contact mount area to allow more tightening there
