loud clunk front end -left turn 700 1991

When I make a left turn I get a loud clunk in the right front end..so loud that you can actually "feel" it in the car. It is loud enough even with all windows up (a/c on down here in S. Florida!)The clunk "seems" to come from the bottom of the car. There are no other rattling noises nor unusual vibration while driving or during braking. A gentle left turn does not give the clunk..it has to be a sudden hard left turn..then you hear it from the lower front..any ideas?

Have a look at your sway bar links. Thin, vertical rods inside the wheels. The one on my driver's side was broken off at the top, sway bar, end. I noticed both a loud noise on turns and I could feel something when braking hard.
