The middle dash vents don't blow air as strong as the outer vents and one of the middle vents is blowing warm air. Also when I apply the brakes the air from the vents blows slightly stronger. Sounds like I have a vacuum leak somewhere. Any advice on what to check first?

When my car displayed this problem it was the double acting bellows on the air distribution box of the A/C unit. A REAL JOB to change.

There is a short cut method in the FAQs or I can send you the factory manual procedure pages in PDF format.

My check valves are still original and working fine.

I replaced the double acting bellows last year using the instructions outlined in the FAQ's. I think I must have some more vacuum leaks in the system and have to check them out. If you wouldn't mind, I would appreciate the factory procedure. The "recir" bellows went out on me too and am contemplating pulling out the dash to replace it. I know you've been working on a shortcut. How's it coming?

A common problem is the one-way check valves that fail. Easy to check, cheap to fix. I'd look there first. Check out the faq for Heater and AC Vents for a picture and more info.

These two (I think - that's what my 960 has) valves are black and white and located near the firewall on the passenger side up high. They are inline with the vacuum hoses.
