How to R&R parking brake cable from lever to rear 760 w/IRS 700 1990

I've disconnected the cable at the rear end and removed the cable clamp above the axle. I have also disconnected it at the center console. I ran out of time but hope to get to it tommorrow.

I'm not sure exactly where it is routed, it kind of disappears under the car above the axle over the tank.

What is the easiest/proper way to get the old one out and the new one in? I don't want to lift the carpet or pull out the rear seat if I don't need to.

It has been a couple years but you do not have to remove the rea seat or carpet. As I remeber I had to partially drop the tank to get it free. It does pass directly over the tank.
