Front seat restoration 200 1990

I followed Tony Hoffman's website, http://home.no.net/ebrox/Tony1.htm

Went completely through my drivers seat yesterday my 1990. Took it down to the frame, patched/reinforced foam, changed thermistor for the heater, new spring grid. Washed the seat covers in the washing machine, and tumble dried. Part of one seam need to be run through my wife's sewing machine. I also rebuilt the lumbar.

Results is amazing. Tony's site is a great resource. Its worth the couple hours, Its like riding in a new seat, rock hard, nice support.

Next is the rear seat with 16 years of juice stains

Careful when you pull out that back seat. The area beneath it has been designated as a natural habitat for free-range Cheerios.

. . . Then there are the Gummy Bears, assorted playing pieces from travel games, secret messages, the keys to your previous home........

I did the rear seat last night. The floor under it was kinda like an archeological dig. I did a rinse in the sink before going into the washer, you dont want to know what the water looked like.

After a run through the wash, it looks great.

How do you remove the back seat back rest? Next project
