My V90 has got a problem. When I've got the lights on of a night I get the bulb out light come up on the dash when I brake. I've examined the lights and the rear tail lights work fine, but when the brake is pressed one of the tail lights goes out completely leaving the entire light dark! I've examined the bulbs and they are fine and all brake lights work fine if the lights are not on. I've also got a problem with the plastic steering column. It makes a horrible noise when I go over bumps or steer too much. I've investigated and the plastic column shroud is attached correctly with all fasteners in place.....but still it makes a horrible...almost knocking sound as if the plastic is knocking together.

I had the same exact brake light problem after replacing the lens assembly in my v90. The easy fix is to go slam the trunk a few times. That would fix mine for a few days. Now if you want to know what is really causing the problem, it's the metal contacts on the plastic mount that fit into the taillight assembly. One of them is not making touching the metal that it's supposed to be touching. I took the little plastic mount out, cleaned the metal (on both the bulb assembly and the lens assembly) and bent each contact slightly outward so that it was guaranteed to touch when reinstalled. Never had the problem since.

Update on my lights. I have checked the connections today and bent them back and the problem still exists....in fact its got worse as now when I indicate Right the rear foglight on warning light also dimly lights up on the dash as well. These problems are beginning to baffle me!
