Does anyone know if the drain and fill plugs on the M47 have the same 1/2" NPT thread as the plugs for the older cast iron gear boxes?

Okay, I have pretty much decided that it can't be tapered thread or the newer plugs wouldn't have a copper seal. Something to do with the aluminum case, I suppose.
