Fan will not turn on. Have power thourgh the switch. There is a wire from the switch to a relay, could nthis be a problem. Wife said after shopping the fan, just wouldn't turn on. It's not noise.

Hi. One (of several) possibilities is that the resistor pack (it controls the fan speeds) is blown. I once had an '83, in which this suddenly happened: one day, I started the car (the fan switch had been left on), heard a pop, and no more fan! It wasn't the usual motor bearings worn out and squealing -- this motor had been silently reliable up to this moment. But the resistor pack blew (without prior signs of impending doom), and had to be replaced! In the process, we tested the motor (it was good), but I replaced it to, only to save me the repeated headache later on.
