grinding sound after brake job 200 1988

I just changed the calipers and pads on the rear of my '88 245 wagon. It hadn't been used for a few months and I couyldn't get one of the pistons to move freely, and the rear right rotor would get real hot. When I rotate the wheel now, after the brake job, it feels kind of gritty or griding. Could the wheel bearings be bad, either coincidently or as a result of over heating? Larry

It doesn't seem that bearings would be affected by over heating brakes. I would suspect the emergency brakes. Maybe they need some adjusting. I had to fiddle with mine like mad to get the discs off.
