Union Auto parts, just south west of Ottawa had 3 240's a month or so ago.
Prices are, IMO, a bit high, but their modus operandi is to get you to order the part over the phone and they pull it, so it might save time.

Union has 10-15 volvos. It just so happened one was a 240 with the parts I needed in the colour I was looking for too. The parts are very reasonably priced, but they are a little rusty. I may keep tooking for something a bit better.

Don't know East but StandardAutoWreckers.com has a great PNP yard. Check its website. Was there yesterday, saw mainly 740's. Maybe a couple of 240's. Have also heard of Cookstown somewhere north of Toronto.

Vlvworld.com ships used parts out of Montreal. There is another Quebecer that posts here occasionally-- Butch Dalton. I think he has access to used stuff as well. Virtually everybody would be cheaper than Hamilton's, although they do have a massive selection and the part quality is usually high. I got dinged $45 for a used thermostat housing on a B280F there, and once paid $28 for a used intermittent relay...

Have you considered checking shipping costs on a shipment from Erie Vovo or one of the other US places near the border? The dollar is healthy now, and the duties are pretty low...

Ease up there Brett. He's looking about 2-3 hours drive east of home. How far would you go for an IAC? That biker yard off the #7 to the Lawrencetown Road? Yech!

That said, I now know of at least four brickheads within 1 hour of my former home. You in Windsor, Chris in the north end of Dartmouth, Ian Pierce (haven't seen him on the B-Board lately) was in my neighbourhood, and my wife used to sing in an Acadian choir with a brick owner at the end of the street where I grew up.

I'm off to Dartmouth tomorrow for Dad's 80th BD. Any luck at all I'll chuck the return fare and drive a pristine 93 245 Classic that I bought for $500 back to Ottawa. ha ha ha, as if.
