Is the AIR and the AMM the same thing?? 200

I've got an 85 240 DL. I bought a manual but I don't know if there's another word for it. Is the AIR the same thing as the AMM? Where under the hood is the AMM and what does it look like?

This is what an AMM looks like.

Located between throttle air intake and air filter.
Also, go to the upper right hand corner of this site. "select link", scroll down to 700/900faqs. You should have the B230f motor, lots of similarities.
