w00t! New to me 240 200

Now to go get it. eBay item 4592440861

I may have overpaid slightly but it is such a very spiffy looking wagon. Only thinig it needs now is a T5 swap.

Very nice... I think the 240s are getting to the point now where for a car in that condition you're only overpaying if you can't afford it. Nice clean conversion too, I wonder though if it's still the B230F with flat-top pistons or if it was swapped for an FT (or if the pistons were swapped). I've often wondered what a turbo with flat-tops would be like, and how long it would last. Keep us posted on this one!

As soon as I get it home I'll check the compression to get a clue as to whether or not there were internal modifications to the engine. As far as I know the B230F can handle boost just fine, just not as much as the lower CR turbo engines. With the higher CR you have to be more careful with the tuning and keep the intake air cool (bigger intercooler) if you want more boost - you have less leeway between running and detonating.

Walking that fine line between fun, and too much fun, is the key as you say. I'll be curious to know what you find out. Enjoy!!

That is so very, very cool. I don't think you paid too much. It's a wagon, it's a '93 classic and it's a turbo, all very desireable things in my opinion. If it had an M46, you would have stolen it. I've thought about jerking the motor out of my '87 760T and dropping it into my '91 245. There's probably $1500 in labor alone to do that job and that's if you have the donor car.

Please post back when you get this thing. I'm very jealous!

    Wow a 93 classic with a complete turbo swap. You don't need a T5.

T5 as in T5 Mustang transmission. I don't really like automatic transmissions. I guess it sounds like I was going to put an 850 motor in there the way I said that.
