HELP! No start this morning!! 700

90 760 T Sedan 222,000 miles

Went out to start the brick this morning and it started right up...went back out 5 minutes later and the car had stopped running. Tried to restart for awhile to no avail. Turns over fine. Had to leave for work so didn't spend any time troubleshooting. Did check both fuel pump fuses and they look good.

Pending a "good spark verification", I'm guessing maybe fuel pump relay or fuel pump? Please give me ideas on the best was to troubleshoot. Many thanks in advance for any help!!!

HELP! No start this morning!! 700

Have you had any other starting problems with this auto? I just aquired a 760 with 98,000 mi. on it because several mechanics have not been able to figure this thing out. I cleaned and charged the battery and it started right up.....Now it doesnn't, now it does, now it doesn't, now it does. From what I've read, the 700 series have some real bugga electrical glithes. Start from the battey back. Make sure all connections are clean, Ten move on to components. Hope this helps.

The harness probs pretty much stopped in 88. 89 on were supposed to be OK.

I am thinking that the probs we are having with our 760's are ground or connection issues. Big Harry up in Charlotte has pretty much cleaned and re-attached all his ground points and by-passed some things like the radio suppression relay - from what I have seen and read.

Check out the post I made about WD40 in the distributor. There is some insight in replies there.
