I'm about to purchase a set of 17 inch Mustang GT wheels for my '68 wagon. I understand they'll work fine. Any concerns I need to know of?

    You have 2 concerns... One will be overall diameter...ie, you'll need something like 215/45/17 tires to match the oe size so your speedo is correct. The other is correct backspacing. If the wheel offset is wrong, you'll be rubbing either on the inside or outside. Inside isn't too bad as you can always space them out. Outside is somewhat more difficult to correct without doing some bashing to the fenders...

    FWIW, I plan on running some 17" with 215/45/17 rubber on my 122. They're aftermarket Volvo wheels and are for FWD cars so we'll see what I need for spacers. The good news there is I actually sell custom made spacers so they won't be a problem...

      17'? You'll be cutting most of the body away, then. :-)
      Assuming you're talking about '79-'95 Mustangs, most of them have 4 lugs. OEM 5 lug Mustangs are '93 Cobra GT and earlier turbo 4banger SVOs. 4cyl turbo Thunderbirds of that era had 5 lug wheels, too. These wheels all seem a bit wide for a 122....
