air bag cover 900

I have a 96 volvo 960 sedan with the passenger side air bag cover loosing its vinyl cover. Can the cover be removed withou taking out the entire air bag? Anyone have a spare cover (Grey but black will do)

I see the cover on my passenger air bag is starting to discolor and crack as if the cover is a more solid piece of molded plastic without a "cover" like the rest of the dash. I'll be watching this thread to see what others say.
