On the cover of the current 200-700-900 series iPd catalog, there's a very sweet 244 (dark green) parked against a nice desert-type background. I love these wheels on that car. Can anyone identify what kind these are and possibly provide sources for these wheels?

Mike has noted them as 100+ Penta's. Considering he's in the UK and that these have been discontinued many years ago, they won't be easy to find.

These are similar but not the same as the IPD 'Penta Sport' 5 spoke rims they sold me back in the 80's. The 'Penta Sport were close 'colnes' of the Vigro's.
I had a set of 14" x 6" 'Penta Sport which went to the crusher in July, something I regret doing.

About the reflective tapes on the bumpers:

-- is this a DIY deal, or something shops typically do in Scandinavia?
-- is there any sort of standard, as your red on rear, silver on front?

I bought a '90 244 a few months back...has the silver reflective tape on the front bumper, but none on the rear. Makes me think the owner did it, but I'm not sure.

It was definitely an accessory item available from Volvo. I've replicated the look in the past using red 3M "plastic tape" that fits the groove just right. It's not a reflective tape, though, but I didn't want it to be.

Unfortunately no, it is not my car, I borrowed the picture from a Swedish board. The tape was actually an original Volvo accessory. I can still see quite a few cars around here using it, so it must have been good quality. The set was just as you describe it, red on rear, silver on front. It fits perfectly in the groove along the bumpers.
