Replacing Mirror 700

While washing my 740T, regretably I shattered the mirror (electric). Any idea how to go about getting this replaced? The case is fine, but there seems to be nothing to unscrew or take apart. Any ideas and tips will be appreciated.

See the FAQ for tips on how to replace the glass. Make sure your motor is OK when you do this.

Replacing Mirror 700

Ok, I managed to remove the cover with minimal damage, but I no clue how to go about removing the glass mirror, which is ver fragile. The FAQ does not seem to shed any light on this, unless I am missing something. Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Replacing Mirror 700

Hello Apollo,

I don't know about removing the cover, that wasn't necessary on mine.

The glass is attached to the motor with a rotating ring. There is a slot on the bottom of the mirror to stick in a small screw driver and move the ring so the glass will come out. The ring has cogs on the bottom. Looking at the mirror move the cogs to the right.

I'll try to scan the page and email it to you.

Happy New Year,
Chuck

Not sure if the 90s are the same. Looking from the bottom, a small hole to insert a screwdriver on a plastic ring that moves about 1/4" to release the mirror.
