Anybody's got a thermal timer switch for a K-jet (74)? 140-160 1974

The cold start injector on my car stopped working and I've finally traced it to a faulty thermal timer switch. I removed the one in my car and it's stamped "11/73", so I guess a 30 year life is not too bad. Haven't been able to track down a new switch on the web. Does anyone know of where I can buy a new or good used one? Anyone know if interchangeability with later Volvos or other cars? There's no part number stamped on it, but it says "VDO", "150 C max", 12V 40W", "36/4/5 35 C" and finally "-20 C 7.5 sec.".

I'll try and attach a picture.

Thanks,
Kåre

Thank you guys, I found one 140-160 1974

Sent an email to FCP Groton and they have one that has identical dimensions and same text stamped on it. $40 to get an old Volvo running again, that's not too bad.

      Thanks,

      Kåre

        Kare,

I use FCP Groton often and really like them. Super fast shipping on good parts.

By the way it's P/N 462632-1. Just found out gcp.se has it for $170. Hmmm...

      Kåre,

I think you can use the 240 version ($89 from IPD). Here are the numbers on one that came from a '79 B21 , reading around the flats:

      VDO, 35°C, -20° C 7.5 sec, 12.77, max 150°C (over 36/5/19), 12V 40 W

IPD lists it as CZ1219731, the Volvo part number. Can't imagine why a different # for the B20, unless threads are different. This one has 14x1.5mm threads.

If it's the same as '80 B21F k-jet, I've got one (or more...), it's at my mother's place a couple hours away but I'll be up there on the weekend so I'll try to remember to check.
