'92 940 power seats...programming? 700

Hi all,
I just swapped some '92 940 power leather seats into my '91 745T.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to program the memory for the driver seat? There are 3 memory buttons.

It's a short entry in the manual, so I'll transcribe it:

1 - Adjust the seat to the desired position.
2 - Depress the MEM button.
3 - Press button 1 to program the current position of the seat.

I think that means press MEM button, release it, then press 1. (as opposed to press MEM button and hold it while you press 1)

As you can tell, I never use mine.
