Jumping the temp compenstating board

The tempearture guage on my 1988 244 is not working. I'm thinking that the best was for me to fix it would be to jump the tempature compensating board. I really don't wan't to soder to do this though. Is their a wire and a wire connetor that would work for this? I think that is what IPD's kit consists of. Thanks for any information, Nick.

People have reported winding the ends of the wire so that they are press fit over pins. I don't see why that would not work, especially if you gave them a final crimp with a pair of needle nose pliers once they were in place.
