C.A. is the rivet missing?

One part of the hinge is part of the moveable window frame itself and one part is part of the windwing assembly buried in the door... are both still connected? Is the upper hinge point to the door side possibly broken loose?

Getting her ready for spring, Eh?? Good on ya!!

Mike

It is the top part of the wingwing. It appear that the rivet is missing from the part of the hinge that goes from the wingwing to the door. I think everything is intact otherwise.

Doesn't need to be the real thing. I will take jury rigging as long as the look of the car is not compromised. I want to be able to use the wing, I love wingwings!

Hi C.A.

I think an "elastic stop nut" and a short 6-32 bolt will be good If you tighten it up till it till you just take th play out it should be good and and won't come loose because of the elastic stop nut. If the hole is large enough use 8-32 hardware. I have heard that a steel "Pop" rivent wil lwork if you usea "backing washer". You may be short the hand strenght to pull the little bastards. The steel ones are tough. I would use a little bolt.

I like the plutonium bolts, butthey only see mt obe available from the russians!! Pretty glow!!
