evil 666 plastic vent cover 700 1988

has anyone removed the evil volvo designed plastic vent trim cover( located at driver/passengers feet )the 740 source of annoying damp carpets ...its only plastic but its a bugger to remove ...removed by swearing ....daryl from aussieland

    Yeah, I've removed them (then cauked and re-installed) on two of my wagons.

    If I remember correctly, the trick is to get it out a little, and use a flashlight to look at where the plastic tabs are that are holding it. Don't be bashful with these tabs... then pry them with a screwdriver. It's OK if you break the tabs.
