Swaybar links S90-V90

I recently installed a new set of swaybar links. I heard very bad things about the Scantech aftermarket ones, so I bought a set of Bilstein aftermarkets. Does anyone know if Bilstein also makes the factory links? Because they looked identical (even down to the plastic mouldings) to the stock ones I was replacing.

The aftermarket swaybar links and strut mounts I bought lasted from zero to 4 weeks, really. replaced at great cost and frustration with volvo parts. The saga was played out on this site, if you can search the database.

Go with the Volvo parts. These V90's may share a common ancestry to the 700's but have acquired various germ-line mutations that, in my mind, make them a distinct sub-species.

Well contrary to all popular opinion, I went with the ScanTech because a local part shop actually had them in stock and the dealer in Minneapolis wanted $90 apiece for the volvo parts. I'll let you know how long they last and watch for bilsteins on yes, my favorite online dealer, eeuroparts.

FCP Groton can get you Volvo OE parts at an excellent discount. You just have to mention that you want Volvo OE.

Good Luck with your Scan Tech parts I wish you better luck than I had with them.

I strongly suspect BilStein/Febi is the OE provider for these links. They do appear to be identical to the originals. At any rate you've likely made a good choice with Bills as opposed to Scam Tech.

Yeah, they were only about $20 each from eEuroParts.com (one of this site's advertisers). I think they were a few dollars more than the Scan Tech ones, but I figured that I was stuck between paying a few dollars more for soemthing that was NOT made by Scan Tech or getting hosed for $60 apiece from my local stealership.

I hope I made the right choice.

My parts list shows two different ones.
One for right and one for left.
The studs are not at a 90 degree angle from each other.
When I bought them, it was the same part for each side.
So one side mounting will be different from the other.
Use the orientation that has the studs at the most normal angle.
I am on my third set at 90K and I hear a clunking.
