Good day all, while seeking a parking space this afternoon at Sam's Club, as I started my right turn through the lot, my car stalled. I had to push it in 109 degree heat alone. When I parked it, I attemped to start the car, it started right up. As I was driving home, after stopping for a light, then steeping on the gas, the car had a slight hesitation like it wanted to cut off again. Lucky I made it home after 60 miles with no problems. Any clues or suggestions on why the car cut off. Thanks to all who reply.

perhaps the crank position sensor??... Its mounted on top of the bell housing.

Wouldnt be a bad idea to change it (~$40) at that mileage.

Thanks for the reply. The dealer found the short intake hose attached to the throttle body pinched. It was bad enough and loose enough to allow the incorrect air/fuel mixture.

First guess would be a bad load of gas, if it has not had any other problems and all normal maintenance items are up to snuff.

Try topping off the tank and adding a bottle of gas drier.

clean and tighten your battery cables. when you went to stop the battery lunged forward and cut out all eletrical so the car died. 1992 940 370k
