960 Steering Rack compatibility between CAM and Z-F 900

I about set to replace my 1993 960 CAM style steering rack. I ordered a rebuilt unit from Jorgen and it arrived yesterday. I opened up the box and it turned out to be a Z-F style. Can anyone offer some insight if the Z-F rack is a drop in replacement for the CAM. IE: Are the tie rod ends the same, the hose connection threads and etc.

Thanks

It should fit. I've replaced several ZF with Cams on 240's with out any problems that I recall. It's been a few years, but I believe the rack I replaced on my 87 745T was a ZF and I installed a Cam replacement. I'd use new crush washers on the hose connections and don't over torque the connection bolts as the threads in the rack can strip pretty easily. Just get them tight enough crush the washers and not to leak. Flush the system before installing the new rack. I'd recommend using Mobile 1 ATF for the final fill. You'll need an alignment when done.
