Thanks in advance for reading and posting.

My 960 needs the right and left side windsheild molding replaced. Thankfully, the top molding is in very good condition. When I asked a body shop for an estimate he game me some figure in excess of $300 as the worse case scenerio. Saying "I think there might be clips and if there are we need to remove the top molding and ...we might need to lift up the windsheild, which could break..."
Needless to say, I'd rather do this myself.

The side moldings are seperate pieces from the top molding with a corner piece joining the top with each side.

If anyone could at least tell me where I can find the proper molding that will give me a head start.

I had mine done last year on my 96 wagon. Ordered the parts from the local dealer-I believe they were about 50 bucks each for the trim and 15 or so for the clips. I went to glass replacement shop that the Volvo dealer uses. Took them about 15 minutes total. Not a big deal at all. If you want exact prices, I can pull the recipts and post tomorrow or Sunday.

It sounds like you got a good deal. My Volvo dealer referred me to this shop, but also told me they could do the job.

The prices from the estimate were $76.86 for each side molding (not certain if that included the clips, but didn't see an order for the clips on the estimate) and for labor 1.5 hours. 30 minutes for replacing each molding...which I find hard to believe, but what do I know!

He also included in the quote the top molding for $74.12 as the 'worst case scenerio'.
