Shimmy and a shake! 200

Hi all!

Well, does anyone know the song that goes "My pile pile shakes at eighty, on the open road"...Well mine is more like 60! I was wondering what some of the contributing factors are to this shake. My car is out of alignment to start, but could it also be the ball joints? the boots looked ok. Any insight would be most helpful before i tear into the tank's suspension! Have a great one!

Before you tear into your suspension I would take a serious look at your tires and rotors. If you know you need an alignment then your tires are wearing. An out of balance tire will give you hell.

Shimmy and a shake! 200

After replacing my struts, ball joints and tie rods outer and inner I developed a shimmy and shake. It was a bit of a bummer after all that work but it ended up being a tire, I think. Pretty sure it stopped with a new set of tires. Or was it the rear shocks, I know making the front corners tight only made the rear feel bad. Now the car feels good. I believe it was a tire.
