'The Seafoam Procedure' 200 1992

What is it and how do I perform it. I know what Seafoam is but what is the procedure used to clean throttle/injectors?

I performed this Seafoam procedure and both my Volvo's are running smoother. I didn't use water with mine, just straight stuff. Boy you would have thought they were gonna blow up with all the smoke!

The problem is that you don't have complete control of the process. There is a chance that it will plug up something important. I'm very wary about putting anything in my car.

It produced good results on my 745T (1992 ~175k) & 245T (1983 ~165k), and will be trying it soon on the other 245T. It doesn't work for everyone...but many swear by it.

It's a proceedure by which one clogs up vital components of old gunk-filled well-running Volvo engines, thus royally screwing them over and causing countless hours of diagnostics to the owner.

With a little less animosity toward Seafoam: can I suggest what some people call an 'Italian Tune-up' instead? That would be taking your brick out on the highway, getting the engine good and hot and revving the hell out of it for a while. This alone usually produces the same increases in power and milage that Seafoam cliams, in a car driven mostly around town. Works on mine.
