I've always loved Bosch blades... they seem to last forever.

It is very easy to remove the whole wiper blade, holder and blade, and take it in with you into the parts store. New Bosch units are made to not accept a refill blade (the finks!) but they can be finagled to make another brand refill fit. It should be the narrow type.

I have used Anco refills and they seem OK. It gets hot here, wearing them out so I just expect to change blades every year. I would probably use the Bosch but I'm too cheap and their switch away from refillable system ticks me off. Like paying the same for your favorite candy bar and finding it to be smaller.

Good Luck,

Bob

I've always preferred Bosch---they just seem to work better.

When I bought my current car, it had Anco blades on it. They looked like a close copy of the Bosch design, and appeared to be in great shape except fot the rubber inserts. I put in a set of Anco refills, and they worked OK for a few weeks, then started skipping and chattering badly. I tried switching them side to side, which helped for a little while. Now they're doing it again. After a few minutes they settle down somewhat and work almost normally. Guess what brand I won't be buying again.

Part of the thing with the unavailability of Bosch refills is that there are several different types of Bosch blades, each of which requires its own refill. This led to confusion and a lot of complaints from people who bought the wrong ones. Of course, I would have preferred for them to have simplified the variety of blades down to one and kept selling refills.......

Most places don't sell refills anymore, you are forced to replace the entire assembly. Dan

All that clairvoyance you demo'd with Brant, now I have your wavelength. One store told me Bosch refills came in a display rack that didn't fit their store layout!
