Hey guys,

When going over some bumps I get a wierd noise from the right rear suspension area. If you are sitting in the car in the rear seat on the passenger side it feels like its right below. A similar sound to a sway bar being totally disconnected. Another thing it feels like is if a shock absorber was completly blown and it rocks the tire up and down violently, after you've gone over the bump. I had the car at a dealer (Volvo) to check the suspension, and they said everything in the rear is fine, and that S90's normally don't have any problems in the rear. Do you guys know any common things that can go on these?

The bushings in the rear IRS hold up fairly well (not great, but not bad). I would re-torque the rear shock bolts(2) on that side and see if one has gotten loose. I have heard of this before (one being loose). If their both tight, I would recommend replacing the rear shocks, especially if they are still the stockers.

I have been having the same problem on my 98 V90...replaced rear shocks and tightened all the connections no change.

Anyone else experienec htis??
