In my car which has 105,000 miles and is well maintained all of the sudden today on the highway the car was bucking as though the fuel was cut off momentarly and for a brief second the emissionscontrol light came on next to the check engine light any ideas would be appreciated thanks Peter

My 1995 940 started doing this. It got worse and worse, eventually bucking severely every time I tried to acelerate and even when going up slight inclines. After looking at everything imaginable, I eventually found that the fuel pump was producing borderline pressure (I had tested it early but thought that the pressure was close enough).

did the car show any other symtoms eg rough idle noise from tank (pump) now the car has a miss at idle and I am not sure that a bad pump would cause this thanks Peter
