How do I remove the OD lever that is located on the right side of the steering wheel of my 1969 123GT? There is a large nut that seemed to hold the OD lever firm when screwed in tight, but when it is unscrewed, the lever is simply loose, but cannot be removed.

Thanks for your advice.

    Remove the steering wheel, and then you can take out the screws that hold the plastic cowl behind the wheel. That should give you enough room to manuever the switch out of there.
