I'm still trying to determine what the small relay next to the coil does (30 85 86 87 87b). It sits behind the silver headlamp relay and small black junction box. A red wire feeds directly into it from the junction box so you'd think you could find it on the Haynes wiring diagram by following the wire. The Haynes diagram is a good one unfortunately the key only goes to 120. The numbers on the diagram go well beyond that.

The lambda relay is shown as item #159 in the mini-diagram on page 12-27, grid N-2. The diagrams are Volvo copies. Butchering the number index is pure Haynes.

It's the same as the '83 diagram in the Bentley, where all items are identified, with turbo-related circuits shown in dotted lines — otherwise it applies correctly to your '80 K-jet.

#128 is the rear foglight switch (foglights are #127).

But Volvo left them off the '83 diagram index.
I had to look them up on the '84 list. I think '83 may have been the 1st year for foglights, so they didn't make it to the diagrams till '84.
