repair/replace dimmer switch 900

The dimmer switch for the instrument lights on my 94 960 is busted. I tried taking it out and repairing with no luck. The lights are at maximum brightness all the time now which I find really annoying. I tried taking the switch apart and cleaning the contacts on the slider which didn't work. My only option is to pick one up at the JY and hope it works. Has anybody figured out how to fix this thing?

Hi Justin. I have had no luck. The switch will only work from 92 to 94 960's. I tried a 760 switch, but it was different. Good luck. Pauli

Thanks for the heads up on the 760s. Plenty of those in the JYs around here, not many early 960s. So 95+ 960s won't work either?
