hey everyone
what should the timing be on a B230F engine? 89 740 GL

when i use a timing light should it be on the 10, 15, 20, or 0 mark?
should be around 10 right?

Should be 12 deg BTDC when using the #1 plug. It's somewhat common for the crank pulley outer section to slip though which can make checking the timing a little tricky.

In any case, your car should have EZ-116K ignition, which is not adjustable.

12 BTDC. Which is between 15-10.
