Thanks to everyone who replied to my other thread about largest possible wheels for my 86 240.

I am looking for a common junkyard set of 15-inch rims to replace my current set. I don't care what they look like. I plan to cover them with Volvo hubcaps anyways.

What's a cheap and easy to find wheel with the same bolt pattern and similar mounting depth?

Or is there a database online somewhere?

i just got my 15" rims from a mid 80's 740 back from the powder coater on thursday. Man they look slick, they were corroded, crappy, and moldy. Glass bead blasting and powder coating flat black later... oh man, they look slick.. too lazy to post pics, sorry.

i picked the rims up for around 120$ plus shipping, they are called volvo "sirius" rims, maganese material, spoke design, made in germany in 1983(older than I am), center caps r fugly so im not gonna run any.

250$ canadian for glass bead blasting + powder coating.

i cant stop looking at them when I go home.. there's even a pic on my cell.

now i have to wait for the summer, and i gotta buy new rubber :(

Go find an older turbo in a junkyard that has no idea what they have and sometimes you can get the 15 inch Virgos for peanuts.. Good luck, but it happens..Did not see any of your previous posts on the wheel size but you can put on 16 inch with adapters. Saw one once and it looked pretty good.

Ha ha ahaaa....i've already got Virgos and am trying to ditch them! I know i'm in the minority, but i really don't like them. They are designed in such a way that i can't put caps over them, so i'm looking for something that will accept caps...

I can live with 14" if necessary. I'm sure i can find a junkyard volvo with some basic 14"'s hopefully for cheap.
