In my '91 240, the interior temperature doesn't gradually adjust when I slide the cold - warm control. If the the control is all the way to the left (cold), I get cool air. If the control is in any other spot, I get max heat.

My 82 245 wagon does the same thing but as long as the heater works and shuts off when I want it to, its not a big deal to me.

Mine's the same, the heater control valve's gone - or so I'm told. I don't really remember mine ever working properly, so I just thought it had always been like that.
