Check Engine light 900 1995

1995 940 --I had this same problem about 4 years ago. when i started the car (AM start up) it instantly started and stalled. I restarted with no problem but the "check engine" light came on. For the life of me i cannot remember the procedure to reset the light. Can anyone help out a middle aged memory? Thank You

If it was only a temporary problem that triggered the CEL, you should be able to clear it and reset the CEL by disconnecting the negative battery terminal.
Do this with the engine off ,of course. If you need to retrieve the codes check, the 700/900 FAQ for instructions on reading the OBD I codes. The underhood LED set up installed on the pre-1996 OBDI 940's is all you need to pull the codes.
