Update:Carrier bearing after liberally spraying with liquid grease 200

Hey everyone, thanks for the advice- my center support bearing had started to sound like a jet before takeoff, but I applied quite a lot of "spray chain lube" to the area, and presto- no more noise after a long test drive. Again, thanks.

This may work as a temp solution. You may want to plan to replace it. It can take a couple of HRS if you have trouble getting the old bearing off. I believe a gear puller was suggested. I ended up carefully cutting the old one off using an angle grinder and cold chisle. The new one went on great with a correct size pipe placed on the inner race and carefully tapped on.

Thanks for the update! I'll have to give this a try....

Good, I've always said that method works!. But you don't need to spray liberally, you need to keep grease well clear of the rubber. I've always just used a few drops of oil injected behind the plastic seal on the ball race.
