Interesting ebay item, '84 242 w/ Chevy V8, great shape. What's it worth?

Here's a quote from the auction "All sound deadening removed, there is some exhaust resonance while driving, but a 350 is music to the ears". I'm not entirely sure I'd want something with all the sound deadening material removed, especially on a car that wasn't put together as a strict racing machine (i.e. the interior is still present).

The quality of the work looks along the lines of something I'm capable of. Not sure if that's really that big of an impact. However, the body looks to be clean, albeit repainted. I'm always a little suspicious of older 240's due to rust issues.

That thing looks like a hack job to me. Kind of a back yard deal, like the instrument panel and the orange paint on the engine.

wow, i didn't know you could put the power seats from a 940 into a 240. anyone familiar w/ that?

you gotta wonder if all that work was worth it. it says only 400 miles on the new engine. think it broke that bank and now he needs to unload? i can't imagine he'd make a profit off of it.

I don't know about 850 seats, but 240 seats are easy to vibrate. I've done three by gutting those $20 accessory pads.
