mild stuttering from stop and vibration at 3000rpm what is it? 900 1993

I have a 93 945T with 91K miles on it. The car is in pretty good shape, but I am trying to track down the cause of the following symptoms that I think might be related:
1) The car stutters at low speed (from a stop) when you push on the gas pedal. I would say the frequency of the stutter is about 200 times per minute. It is much worse when the car is cold, but can also be felt if you give the accelerator hard when it is warm.
2) There is a pretty strong vibration at 3000rpm under load. This goes away when you let off the accelerator. I would say that this frequency is like that of a bumble bee. This vibration is considerably louder with 87 or 89 octane gas, but also there with 93 octane. (All the fuel around here has ethanol)
3) The idle is approximately 950rpm on the dash needle.

I have done the following:
Cleaned throttle body, adjusted idle switch, cleaned IAC valve, replaced distributor cap, rotor, and spark plug wires, replaced spark plugs (by mechanic, not me). The car idles smoothly and has good power (but I have never driven another turbo). The temp gauge on the dash is in the middle. There are no codes in the ODB (1-1-1). I also just replaced the transmission mount, which I thought would smooth things out, but problem persists.

I have read the FAQ and have an idea of what to try next, but I want unbiased second opinions from those more knowledgeable than myself before I go replacing everything.

Thanks,
Steve

I was wondering if it could be the knock sensor. Any thoughts on this idea? Still no codes in the ODB.

Thank you,
Steve
